Man suffers heart attack, dies at Durban beach

A man - who'd been on holiday - has died after suffering a heart attack at a Durban beach.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says the man - from East London - had gone for a swim at Battery Beach this afternoon.

Botha says the holidaymaker got into trouble as he emerged out of the surf.
"As he was walking out of the water, he clutched his chest and collapsed. The lifeguards - when we arrived there - had already started CPR. The advanced life support paramedics put the patient on a ventilator, and put him on cardiac drugs," he said.
Botha says that despite efforts, the man died on the scene.
