Updated | By Bernadette Wicks
Pietermaritzburg detectives are investigating a case of murder, following the grisly discovery of a man's body in Northdale, yesterday.

Policemen from the city's Search and Rescue Unit were called out to recover his remains from the bottom of a steep embankment, in the early hours of the morning.
Members of the community had to help them carry his body some 600 metres up the muddy slope.
Police spokesperson Thulani Zwane says he was stabbed to death.
"The police officers from Mountain Rise were called to attend to a murder case at the Swapo informal settlement. On their arrival, they noticed that the man had sustained some stab wounds on his body," Zwane says, "The man was allegedly stabbed by a known suspect in the area after an argument and a case of murder was opened for further investigation".
