That is according to independent researcher and human rights activist, Vanessa Burger.
Burger has spoken to community members who told her the 29-year-old resident from Block 53 went to a tavern with a friend on Saturday night.
Before going home, he stopped at Block 55 where he was killed in the early hours of the morning.
Burger testified at the Moerane Commission of Inquiry that hitmen at Glebelands were mostly responsible for the killings there.
The commission, which set out to investigate political violence in KwaZulu-Natal, wrapped up last month.
