Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
One person has been shot and hurt as protest action continues in the Chatsworth area, south of Durban.

Police say taxi operators blocked roads and entrances to the RK Khan Hospital in an apparent stand-off between associations this morning.
A group of about 60 people had also blocked Wingen Walk in Shallcross, complaining of having to travel long distances by foot to the hospital as taxis have not been operating there.

SAPS spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says the situation remains tense. She says officers have been deployed to the area.
"One person, said to be a security guard, has been injured. He was not seriously hurt but is in hospital receiving treatment. Public Order Police and local SAPS are on scene. We would advise motorists to use alternative routes because the road to the hospital are closed," Mbhele said.
