Man shot dead in Durban North robbery

A man was killed during an armed robbery on Chris Hani Road in Durban.

Emer-G-Med paramedics say the shooting happened on Monday afternoon.
While the exact details remain sketchy, spokesperson Kyle van Reenen says the victim is believed to have been in his fifties.

"On arrival on the scene, a male aged in his fifties was found to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was declared dead on arrival of paramedics.
"Reports from the scene are that the man was shot in an alleged armed robbery incident, however, the South African Police Services were in attendance and will be conducting the necessary investigation accordingly."
