Man shot and injured in Durban home invasion

A Durban man is lucky to be alive - following a shooting incident at a home in Manor Gardens, this morning.
Police spokesperson, Nqobile Gwala, says the homeowner was confronted by two suspects - who held up two women inside the house.

Gwala says two shots were fired, and the man - thought to be in his 50s - was shot. The bullet grazed his head.
Netcare911's Chris Botha says he was stabilised on scene, before being rushed to hospital.
"When they arrived at the scene, they found the man had sustained a gunshot wound and was very fortunate to escape with his life. He had sustained moderate injuries," he said.

Gwala says the suspects fled the scene in a getaway vehicle, without taking any items from the home.
Mayville SAPS are investigating a case of attempted murder and house robbery.
