Man survives freak accident at Chatsworth plastics factory
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
A man is recovering in hospital after his arm became trapped in an industrial machine at a plastics factory in Chatsworth, earlier today.
Paramedics say the 25-year-old worker was injured when his hand got stuck in a plastic moulding machine.
KZN EMS's Robert Mckenzie says safety officers are now looking at what could have led to the incident.
"The man was stabilized at the scene, and paramedics managed to maneuver his hand out of the machine. He has been transported to hospital, and is recovering in a stable condition," he said.
