Man opens fire at PMB primary school

Four people have been hurt after a man opened fire at Alston Primary School in Pietermaritzburg.

The man, who was also injured in the attack, forced his way past school security on Wednesday.
KZN Education's Muzi Mahlambi says in a video shot by one of the witnesses, the pupils can be heard and seen screaming and running for cover.

He says police are still investigating the motive for the attack.
"The security company responded quickly to the scene. They were able to apprehended the man. Gunshots were later heard. The school property was not damaged."
