Man killed, wife wounded in shooting at Berea home

There has been a deadly shooting at a home on the Berea in Durban.
A man has lost his life while a woman, believed to be his wife, was wounded.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the couple had also been assaulted at the Bulwer property on Wednesday night.

"The male, believed to be in his thirties, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, and unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do for him. He was declared deceased at the scene. His wife had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her arms and was assaulted.
"Advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise her on the scene before rushing her through to a nearby hospital for the urgent care that she required.
"At this stage, the events leading up to the shooting are unknown. However, SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further."
