Man killed in Newcastle truck crash
A man has been killed and another is fighting for his life in hospital after their bakkie collided with a large truck just outside Newcastle.
They were travelling on the N11 towards Ladysmith just before 8pm last night when the accident happened.
Paramedics found the bakkie still partially wedged underneath the truck.
The man who died on the scene is believed to have been in his 30s.
The truck driver was not hurt.
Authorities say they are investigating the cause of the collision.
