Man killed in N2 crash
A male occupant in his late 20s has died after the vehicle he was in was rear-ended along the N2, just before the Higginson Highway, last night.
It is believed the vehicle he was in along with other occupants had broken down and while they were disembarking another hit them from the behind.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says he succumbed to his injuries.
"Unfortunately one person - a male believed to be in his late 20s - sustained major injuries and there was nothing more paramedics could do to save him and was declared dead on scene", he said.
"A further three people sustained injuries and were stabilised on scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care they required", Jamieson said.
