Man killed in Durban North crash
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
Authorities are investigating the cause of a fatal crash in Glenashley, in Durban North last night, that left one man dead.
Reports from the scene suggest the vehicle he had been travelling in left the road and landed up on the verge in Park Drive just before midnight.
No other vehicles appear to have been involved in the crash.
Netcare911's Chris Botha says the motorist was declared dead on scene.
"Paramedics were called out to Glenashley where a vehicle had left the road and was severely crumpled when we arrived there. It had obviously smashed into quite a few things before coming to rest on the verge.
"We found that there was a person who was trapped in the vehicle. He had died due to the severe injuries that he had sustained," he said.
