Man injured by grass cutter near Cato Ridge dies
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
A man has died after being severely injured by a blade from a grass cutting machine.

Midlands EMS spokesperson, Derrick Banks says the man was cutting grass along the N3 near Cato Ridge, when the blade from his colleague's machine broke off and cut through his leg.
Paramedics found the other workers trying to load the injured man into a bakkie.
Banks says the blade was still lodged in his leg.
"He had stopped breathing as paramedics arrived on scene. Advance life support intervention was performed on the man for quite a long time to try and revive him. Unfortunately, he passed away on scene due to a loss of blood and due to his injuries," Banks said.
