Man hacked to death in suspected revenge killing in Verulam

Durban police are investigating cases of murder and attempted murder, following a shooting outside a tavern in Verulam, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Police say two brothers were gunned down, while a third man was shot and wounded.

Meanwhile, a murder docket has been opened after the mutilated body of a man was found in Verulam on Sunday night. 


Police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbele says the 39-year-old man is suspected of involvement in a fatal shooting at the tavern.


"The deceased is expected to be involved in a double murder, where two brothers were fatally shot and another person sustained injuries," she said.
