Man gunned down in suspected taxi killing in Waterloo

KwaZulu-Natal police are investigating a case of murder after a suspected taxi boss died in hospital.
SAPS spokesperson Thembeka Mbele says the man was sitting in his vehicle at a taxi rank in Waterloo, north of Durban, on Monday and was shot multiple times.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

"A case of murder is being investigated by Verulam SAPS. This is after a male, 45, was attacked while he was seated in his car at the Waterloo Taxi Rank.
"He was shot several times and was later rushed to hospital where he was declared dead. The motive of the killed is unknown at the moment and is subject to investigation."
