Man dies in crash involving truck near Shongweni

More details have emerged about this morning's tragic crash near Shongweni, west of Durban.
A man lost his life when a bakkie collided with a truck on Old Richmond Road, near Shongweni.
The bakkie which was towing a trailer then overturned.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says some passengers were ejected from the vehicle.
"One person, a male believed to be 27-years-old, sustained major injuries. Unfortunately, there was nothing paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on scene," said Jamieson.

"A further nine patients had sustained various injuries ranging from minor to serious. They were stabilised on scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required."
