Man dies after being knocked by car near Ballito
A pedestrian has been killed on the N2 near Ballito on the north coast after being struck by a vehicle
The man was knocked over by a father taking his children to school this morning.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Paul Herbst says they were called out to the scene just before 7am.
''As he crossed on the N2 going northbound towards the Shakaskraal bridge, a pedestrian came from the bushy area.
''We arrived on scene but unfortunately the man had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing we could do.
''The kids and their father were obviously shaken up, were checked up by the paramedics and will be going privately to their local doctor for further care,'' he said.
