Man critical after being hit by car Durban
A man is fighting for his life in hospital after reportedly being struck by a vehicle in the Avoca Hills area near Durban North this afternoon.
Emergency services who raced to the scene found the man thought to be in his twenties lying in Sea Cow Lake Road with life threatening injuries.
The events leading up to the accident are still unknown.
Netcare911 says the pedestrian was stabilised on scene before being taken to hospital under the care of an advanced life support paramedic.
Local authorities will be investigating the cause of the accident.
