Man in court over fatal Wentworth stabbing
A 23-year-old man is appearing in the Wentworth Magistrate's Court today on murder charges.
The police's Thulani Zwane says he allegedly stabbed a 24-year-old man to death on Sunday and then fled the scene.
''It is alleged that these two had an argument over drugs in the area and as a result the suspect stabbed the 24-year-old man.
''The community members who witnessed the incident reported it to the police. The police then chased the suspect who had fled the scene and he was later arrested.
Zwane says the suspect was found in possession of a knife believed to be the murder weapon.
