A 29-year-old man is being questioned by police over the kidnapping and murder of Durban North woman, Siam Lee.
The suspect was arrested at his home in Assagai, near Hillcrest last night.
"The detectives from Durban North police worked tirelessly yesterday up until the early hours of this morning following information on the whereabouts of the suspect. He was later arrested in Hillcrest at his residence - he is being held in Pinetown for further investigation," police spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says.
Lee disappeared from outside her place of work in Margaret Maytom Avenue in Durban North earlier this month.
Her disappearance prompted a massive search across the city, with calls for her safe return being shared widely on social media.

The search ended with the tragic discovery of the 20-year-old's badly burnt body on a farm in New Hanover in the Midlands two days later.
Family members confirmed the body as being hers a week after her disappearance.
Mbhele says the man is due to appear in court soon.
