KwaZulu-Natal police have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a girl who was abducted on the south coast, allegedly for an exorcism.
The KZN Social Development Department says five teenagers were taken and held over five days last month by a pastor in KwaNzimakwe.
The man allegedly beat them, claiming to be expelling evil spirits.
KZN police spokesperson Jay Naicker says one of them, an 18-year-old, died.
He says her family told officers she had taken her own life.
