Man to appear in court for attacking, robbing real estate agent in Ballito

A 40-year-old man who posed as a potential house buyer and then attacked and robbed a real estate agent will make his first appearance in the Kwadukuza Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
According to Marshall Security, the man arranged a viewing with the woman in Ballito on Monday.
Spokesperson, Kyle Van Reenen who says the man was found in possession of a toy gun and the victim's belongings.
"The suspect posed as a potential client, viewing a property in the Ballito area before holding up the estate agent. He then assaulted her quite violently before making off with her property - including her vehicle, a Toyota Tazz. It was fitted with a tracking device monitored by Tracker SA.
"Marshall Security set up an operational team, together with Navac. the Umhlali K-9 unit and other various role players managed to track the vehicle and intercepted in arresting the suspect on the M4 highway near Umhloti."
Police say a case of kidnapping and theft has been opened.
