A man and his dog have been killed after his vehicle crashed into a bridge on the M13 near Pinetown on Tuesday.

"Upon arrival on the scene, the driver had unfortunately sustained massive injuries and was declared deceased on the scene," he said.
Meadows says the dog was found under the dashboard.
"We had taken the dog out of the vehicle and treated it in a nearby vehicle. The dog was then taken to the Kloof SPCA for further treatment. Unfortunately, after Kloof SPCA did the necessary that they needed to do, the dog died," she said.
