Man accused of German tourist’s murder to apply for bail

The 35-year-old man linked to the murder of a German tourist near the Kruger National Park will apply for bail later this month.

Napoleon Joseph Nyalungu made another brief appearance in the Kabokeni Magistrates's Court in Mpumalanga on Wednesday.

He was arrested last week.
Seventy-five-year-old Jörg Schnarr was shot dead during a botched hijacking near White River over two weeks ago.
He was with three other people in the vehicle, including his wife.

Mpumalanga police say Nyalungu's bail application is expected to be heard next week Friday.
