Man accused of attacking elderly Paulpietersburg farmer to appear in court

suspect arrested in connection with the assault and robbery of an elderly
Paulpietersburg farmer in northern KZN is heading to court.

The 80-year-old was attacked in March by three men armed with a bush knife. He was tied up before they fled his property.

The suspect was caught in Piet Retief at the weekend.
KZN police spokesperson Thulani Zwane said: "The suspects stole an undisclosed amount of cash, two cellphones and the victims vehicle which they used as their getaway vehicle. The vehicle was later found burnt about 5km away from his farm".
Zwane says police are still in pursuit of the remaining two suspects.
