Malema was thrown out of the house just before Members of Parliament adjourned for the day, following a question and answer session with Ramaphosa and several other ministers.

National Assembly chair, Grace Boroto told Malema he had to apologise for comments he made a few weeks ago, but he refused.

It all started with Boroto explaining that the remarks were unparliamentary.

When told that he needed to withdraw, Malema again repeated the remarks twice, refusing to take it back.

Boroto then made the order that Malema must be removed if he did not want to leave on his own, but Malema refused.

"Tell those people to come and remove me, those bouncers you've hired to come and kill us here, in the same way you killed people in Marikana," he said.

Speaking to Newswatch shortly afterwards, he said that what happened was an abuse of power.

"Why would you want to physically assault a defenceless man who's not fighting you, who's raising a different argument in parliament," he added.

As Malema was taken outside, Boroto said that according to the rules, he will be suspended for five days.
