Malema had been addressing supporters after opening a case against Gordhan in Pretoria.

"When we attack Pravin - it is not an attack on the Commission of Inquiry on State Capture, it's not an attack on Indians. It's an attack on corruption because the cardinal pillars of the EFF are very clear on corruption," Malema said.

Malema claims to have evidence against Gordhan - dating back to the 90s.

"We came here today to open a case against the corrupt former Commissioner of SARS and former Minister of Finance, who is now Minister of Public Enterprise Pravin Gordhan and his daughter. We gave the evidence to the police - about the crimes committed by Pravin since 1999 until 2014," Malema said.

It's reported the charges include money laundering, corruption, racketeering, fraud, and perjury.

Meanwhile, Gordhan laid criminal charges against Malema yesterday - following the controversial remarks Malema made at a protest outside the commission last week.
