Malema land grab case returns to court
Updated | By Bernadette Wicks
Julius Malema is due back in the dock of the Newcastle Magistrate's Court today.

UPDATE: The land grab case against Julius Malema has been postponed to July 8th.
The EFF leader faces charges of contravening the Riotous Assemblies Act - in connection with his 2016 call for supporters in the north-western KwaZulu-Natal town to occupy land back.
The case has been dragging on for several years now, though, with Malema currently challenging the constitutionality of the act in the North Gauteng High Court - and another adjournment is expected today.
The matter was, on the last occasion, adjourned for a judge to make a ruling on Malema's high court challenge of the act.
However, such a ruling is still outstanding.
The matter was set down for a special motion in September but issues with a notice the EFF had filed caused this to be delayed until December.
Judgment was reserved and has yet to be delivered.
