"I don't support springbok, I don't support the emblem and the apartheid colours that the national team wears, we want the colours that represent democracy. Rugby I support."

Malema explained to thousands of party members in Joburg on Sunday why the EFF hasn't taken part in the Springboks' World Cup victory celebrations.
"We don't have a problem with rugby; we love rugby, but we don’t love Mabokoboko. Mabokoboko, die Bokke, the Springbok is an apartheid symbol.
"You can’t say remove the apartheid symbol and maintain the name Springbok and the emblem Springbok, and the colours that were used during apartheid by white people.”
