Makhosi Khoza's retirement from politics 'a wise decision'
Updated | By Lethiwe Mdluli
Political analyst, Proteas Madlala believes Makhosi Khoza's retirement will benefit her in the long run.
In a statement addressing the board of her new political party African Democratic Change, the former MP announced her retirement from politics to focus her time more on social issues such as local governance and education.
Madlala says Khoza is too intelligent and should focus on her academic work and social issues.
"A person of her calibre should concentrate on doing non-governmental, community work that is going to benefit her personally and benefit the nation. The country is constipated with too many political parties - some of them are just one-man shows. This makes our democracy not very exciting especially, when it comes to concentration," he said.
Khoza launched ADeC just five months ago.
