Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Build One SA leader Mmusi Maimane has urged Eskom's board and leadership to get to the bottom of the challenges plaguing the utility once and for all.

Maimane spoke to Newswatch after he opened a criminal complaint at a Cape Town police station against Eskom's alleged looters.
He wants the police to investigate the claims made by the utility’s former CEO.

Maimane says Andre de Ruyter needs to share details and substantiate the allegations he made against government ministers and others linked to corrupt activities at Eskom.
"We must ensure that we get a board that does not serve the interest of the politicians but in the interest of the country. So I urge the current board chairperson, if he is aware if these allegations, that these must be investigated."
