A number of nurses and patients at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Phoenix have been tested for COVID-19.
The board's Sham Maharaj says the report the hospital has is that several nurses and four patients are suspected to have the virus.
Maharaj says a patient, who went to the hospital, did not declare their symptoms.
They found out later on, in the day that the temperatures have risen and there are symptoms that are consistent with COVID-19.

"Right now we are waiting, so we can only say now that testing has been done and within 24 hours we will know is it COVI-19 or just the flu," said Maharaj.
Those who've been tested are now self-isolating.
Ayanda Zulu, who's with health union, NEHAWU, says they were told by hospital management that Mahatma Gandhi Memorial already has positive cases.
"We are demanding that all workers in the facility must be tested immediately and also we call for a temporary closure of the hospital to allow the process of fumigation and disinfection."
