Advocate Anthea Platt is representing the president.

"Procedural requirements as attaching to the president was not followed, does not affect their right to know what is in the report. They can not say that their interest to know has been affected by the president obtaining an order that he has the right to answer questions," she said.

Tembeka Ngcukaitobi for the EFF says the matter is much more than just procedural demand from the President:

"This is not a case purely about the president's procedural demand. This is a case that seeks to put a blanket ban on the publication of the Public Protector's report. It's not just the president who is interested in that question; it is everybody in this country who is interested in knowing what the findings were," he said.

Advocate Dali Mpofu on behalf of Cope and the UDM says they accept that Zuma has procedural rights and these can be dealt with in a review application:

"The issue here is will the public of South Africa enjoy its access to the contents of the report now or later or never, as I'm sure the president will like us to have," he said.
