UPDATE: Load shedding alert for Tuesday evening
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
POWER UTILITY ESKOM HAS RELEASED AN UPDATE WITH REGARDS TO THE PROBABILITY OF ROTATIONAL LOAD SHEDDING THIS EVENING. THE PARASTATAL SAYS THERE IS NOW A HIGH RISK OF STAGE ONE BLACKOUTS BETWEEN 5PM AND 9PM TONIGHT.
Eskom says there is a low probability of rotational load shedding again today, with the possibility increasing for the evening period between 5pm and 9pm.
The power utility says any load shedding today would be implemented for a period of up to four hours.
Any rotational blackouts would be conducted in either Stage One, Stage Two, Stage Three or Stage Four, dependent on the capacity shortage.
"We continue to encourage residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly to ease the demand of electricity," said Eskom.
