Load shedding to be kept at Stage 1 until August: Gordhan
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Public Enterprises Minister, Pravin Gordan says there will be no shedding at least until the end of August, but should there be a need it will happen at Stage 1.

Gordhan briefed the media at Lethabo power station in the Free State.
He says Eskom has come up with a winter plan.
"Scenario one is where there is no load shedding. In this instant, we will ensure that unplanned outages, breakdowns or tripping of the plants is kept to less than 9500 megawatts. The unplanned outages go above 9500- a maximum of 26-days of only Stage 1 load shedding will occur," Gordhan said.
Eskom chairperson, Jabu Mabuza says they are working to sort out all the issues contributing to loadshedding.
"Our coal stockpiles have improved. We had diesel issues before that and we have been able to secure diesel," he said.
