Police have managed to disperse scores of pro Zandile Gumede protesters who had been marching to Durban Central Police Station.

The crowd had gathered outside City Hall this morning - demanding that the eThekwini mayor - who is on an extended leave of absence over corruption allegations - be brought back.
The protest turned violent.
Newswatch has learnt that the group will also appear in court in a few minutes.
Newswatch's Nushera Soodyal filed this report when the chaos erupted earlier.
