Updated | By ECR Newswatch
An American judge has ordered the release of audio tapes from 911 calls made during a mass shooting at the Orlando nightclub that claimed the lives of 49 people.
At least 50 other people were wounded when Omar Mateen - armed with an assault rifle - entered Pulse nightclub and started shooting.
The brief conversations between police negotiators and the 29-year-old were recorded in a series of phone calls between 2:35 a.m. and 3:25 a.m. in which police tried to placate the killer.

In the first 911 call made to police, the gunman says: "I want to let you know I'm in Orlando and I did the shooting." When police ask him to identify himself he says - "My name is I pledge allegiance to Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi of the Islamic State."
Mateen, who pledged allegiance to the leader of the ISIS, was killed during a police raid.
