The law graduate, who's from Richards Bay, won the crown in October.

Her participation later in the Miss Universe pageant in Israel drew criticism from some groups who felt she should have boycotted the event in a show of solidarity with the people of Palestine.

She was crowned the second runner up at the December competition.

Mswane says she's excited about celebrating her victories in her home province.

"I can't wait. I am super excited. I am so keen. I am definitely focusing on the upliftment of the community and to motivate young girls to aspire to become leaders of tomorrow and I think that speaks largely about a platform such as Miss South Africa, that duty to serve so that is the purpose of my homecoming."

Mswane will be hosted by King Cetshwayo District before attending a local awards ceremony for the class of 2021.

She says, she also looks forward to launching her campaign #BeReady, which focuses on the empowerment of the youth through entrepreneurial skills.

"I have spoken about unemployment being the cause that I opted to go for clearly because it affects our youth and once upon a time, prior to my title of Miss South Africa, I myself found myself in a situation where I was unemployed.

"So just focusing on my campaign not only though just my campaign as you know there are so many socio-economic ills in South Africa. I love to get my hands dirty on projects that are related to poverty, a cause that is very close to my heart as well."
