LISTEN: Man describes shock discovery of murdered South Coast woman
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A Durban man has described the horror of finding the body of an elderly woman who was stabbed to death at a beach on the South Coast over the weekend.
Cowies Hill resident, Ashley Magnus says his family had been on holiday in Port Edward and had taken their dogs for a walk at Munster Beach.
Magnus says the 62-year-old woman was a local resident.
"Through the dog and some neighbours, we managed to trace where the dog had come from. Some of the other neighbours went to get the husband down to help identify her. I was just shocked - there was so much blood. It was terrible."
Police says a case of murder has been opened and no arrests have been made.
