LISTEN: Makhosi Khoza joins OUTA
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Former ANC MP, Makhosi Khoza has joined NPO the Organization Undoing Tax Abuse.
Khoza, who recently resigned from politics after launching a new political party a few months ago, will head up OUTA's new strategy targeting local government.
She addressed the media at a briefing in Johannesburg this morning.
"It is not enough to complain about the state of municipal services in South Africa, as is often the case. It is our duty to do something about it in a constructive way," she said.
Khoza says she wants to see people investing more in civil society.
She will now be heading the roll-out of OUTA branches across the country over the next year.
The branches will be used by OUTA to tackle challenges like service delivery, corruption and maladministration.
Khoza says people have lost faith in politics.
