LISTEN: Latest sardine update for Durban
There was much excitement on KZN's upper south coast yesterday with sardines netted at several beaches, including Isipingo, Toti and Winklespruit.
The KZN Sharks Board says a large net of about 400 baskets was pulled out at Toti.
However, today's strong south westerly winds could put a damper on things.

There was a 38 km/h south westerly wind at about 8am this morning. Sea swells in Durban are expected to reach 6m today.
