LISTEN: "I couldn't believe it" - niece speaks after KZN woman fatally stabbed
The niece of a 71-year-old, whose body was found at Munster Beach on the south coast says her aunt was someone who loved and was equally loved.
It is believed Diedre Gerryts had been walking on the beach when she was attacked last week.
Police say her body was found with multiple stab wounds on Friday afternoon.
Catherine Trusler says the family is in shock and they're still battling to come to terms with Gerryts' death.
Family and friends will hold a memorial service for Gerryts on Tuesday.
