LISTEN: eThekwini mayor puts to rest bribe allegations

The ANC's chairperson in the eThekwini Region, Zandile Gumede has denied taking bribes from a local businessman.
Gumede - who is eThekwini mayor - has responded to recent reports she was involved in a multi-million-rand tender scandal.
According to the Sunday Tribune, Gumede allegedly demanded kick-backs from a group of construction companies that shared work on a R650 million project.
It was reported the businessman even visited her home and donated R100 000 to the party.

But Gumede says she didn't accept any money.
