LISTEN: Elderly couple, unemployed mom react to Sassa crisis
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Recipients of social grants in KZN say they can't do without the money they receive from Social Security Agency on a monthly basis.
It's not yet known whether 17 million South Africans will receive their grants from April 1.
The Constitutional Court had given the agency until April 1 this year to find a new service provider - after it found that SASSA's contract with Cash Paymaster Services was illegal.
No new contracts have been signed with CPS and no agreement's been put in place with Treasury.
These beneficiaries - including a couple who're in their 70s - and an unemployed mother, have spoken to Newswatch about the payments controversy.
