LISTEN: Elderly couple lucky to be alive following Asherville landslide
Updated | By Portia Cele
As the wet weather continues to sweep across KwaZulu Natal - in Durban, an Asherville resident is thankful both her parents are alive.

Waseela Kachbal says she managed to carry her elderly mum to safety when their backyard sank in torrential rain.
She says she started to panic when a landslide caused the lawn of their Zinnia Road property to collapse.
Kachbal says the road near home is completely submerged in mud.
"It's so bad that it has actually pushed the neighbour's car against her house and moved the [fence] against the neighbour's house. I have no backyard. The mud has slid over the entire road on Tarndale Avenue - blocking that road," she said.
The province has been hit by heavy downpours since since last night - causing power outages, mudslides and the collapse of buildings and homes.
Fatalities have been reported in Malvern, Umlazi, Chatsworth and New Germany.
KZN EMS says they're issuing warnings for the northern parts of the province - including the King Cetshwayo District Municipality.
