Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Two men have been arrested in connection with the attack at the Fundimvelo Thula Thula Rhino Orphanage.
A group of about eight poachers stormed the orphanage located at the Thula Thula Game Reserve and assaulted staff at the facility before killing their beloved rhino orphans, Impi and Gugu.
The police's Vishnu Naidoo says members of their K9-unit received information about the armed suspects travelling in the area.
He says the suspected poachers had a hunting rifle and several rounds of ammunition in their possession.

"Both these suspects were subsequently arrested. We believe that they may have been involved with the group of about eight men that robbed Thula Thula Reserve. They are likely to face charges of aggravated robbery, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition as well as assault in terms of the Endangered species Act," he said.
Naidoo further elaborates on how the arrests were made. LISTEN below.
