LISTEN: 2018 sardine run reaches eThekwini

The sardine frenzy has finally reached eThekwini's coast.
Several nets of the fish have been landed at Amanzimtoti and Anstey's beach on the Bluff, south of Durban.
The fish have been spotted off the municipality's coast since yesterday afternoon.
Most of the activity to date has been in the Winkelspruit area over the past few days.
It is believed the approaching cold front, strong currents and increased predator activity has been pushing the shoals further north.
The KwaZulu-Natal Sharks Board's Greg Thompson is urging bathers to check whether the area they want to swim is still protected:
