Limpopo crash claimed lives of 10 teachers: MEC

Limpopo education officials say 10 of the 13 people who lost their lives in a crash on Tuesday were teachers.

A truck collided with a minibus taxi after the truck drove into the oncoming lane on the Polokwane-Dendron route.
Reckless driving has been listed as the cause of the crash.

"My deepest condolences to the families and to the children of the deceased, and also to my learners who the deceased were their teachers. My deepest condolences to all the schools, their principals and circuit managers," said MEC Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya.
