Limpopo confirms first coronavirus case, total now at 62
Limpopo has its first case of COVID-19.
The province's Health MEC - Phophi Ramathuba says a 28-year-old doctor who recently travelled to France, Spain and The Netherlands and has tested positive.
She says while the man didn't display any symptoms when he returned - he nonetheless immediately self-quarantined - and got tested.
Ramathuba says the doctor remains asymptomatic and is in high spirits.
It takes the number of confirmed infections in the country to 62.
A short while ago - the Health Minister said several potential cases were also being tested.
Zweli Mkhize was briefing the media in Pretoria - on the urgent measures being taken to contain the spread of the pandemic.
"We are also investigating another four [suspected cases], but because of the system we are using, we will not give you all those details right now."
"But amongst them are those who are being tested from private laboratories and will have to be verified by the National Health Laboratories Services."
The South Africans repatriated from Wuhan in China arrived in Limpopo on Saturday where they are under quarantine.

Some couldn't board the plane after displaying symptoms.
"Of the citizens who presented themselves for repatriation, four had to remain behind. This is because they displayed symptoms."
"It must be highlighted that this does not mean that they have been infected. This was done to mitigate the risk of having anyone in the plane that could have any form of symptoms."
At the Limpopo resort, two people have been placed in isolation after they'd developed a cough.
