At least 50 injured, 1 killed, in R66 bus crash
Updated | By Nothando Mkhize
One person has died after a bus they were travelling in left the road and rolled down an embankment on the R66 between Gingindlovu and Eshowe, northern KZN.

It's unclear at this point where the fully loaded vehicle was destined or what caused the driver to lose control at the wheel.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Paul Herbst says a multiple number of people were injured when the crash occurred yesterday.
"Approximately 50 people sustained injuries and sadly one person sustained fatal injuries. IPSS Medical Rescue's Advanced Life Support paramedics, alongside various other services, stabilised and rescued patients", he said.
The Road Traffic Inspectorate's Zinhle Mali says traffic was backed up for a few hours but after some time clean up operations were eventually completed.
"The road was cleared and the bus removed. Eventually there will be an investigation by SAPS since there will be an accident report and also since one person was killed. They will be finding out how this accident happened", she said.
